Thistle joins the Plastic Recovery Pledge with rePurpose Global

We are proud to cel­e­brate our port­fo­lio com­pa­ny, This­tle, for tak­ing bold, imme­di­ate action to com­bat plas­tic pol­lu­tion through its part­ner­ship with rePur­pose Glob­al—the world’s lead­ing Plas­tic Action Plat­form.

As part of its com­mit­ment to the Plas­tic Recov­ery Pledge, This­tle will fund the removal and respon­si­ble pro­cess­ing of 75,000 pounds of nature- and ocean-bound plas­tic waste in 2025. This is the equiv­a­lent of more than 3.6 mil­lion plas­tic bot­tles that would oth­er­wise pol­lute our envi­ron­ment.

This ini­tia­tive doesn’t just mit­i­gate plas­tic waste. It cre­ates fair, sta­ble employ­ment through local­ly led waste man­age­ment projects, sup­port­ing rePur­pose Glob­al’s net­work across India, Indone­sia, Kenya, and beyond.

We believe that busi­ness­es shap­ing a health­i­er future are those will­ing to lead—even when the path isn’t per­fect. Plas­tic is a glob­al chal­lenge with no sin­gle solu­tion. Thistle’s part­ner­ship with rePur­pose Glob­al is a pow­er­ful step for­ward: real-world action today, along­side a longer-term vision for sus­tain­able inno­va­tion tomor­row.
